1924 – 2016 Obituary Condolences
Joe A. Garcia, 92, of Bloomfield, passed from this life Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, in Bloomfield. He was born to Manuel Garcia and Juanita Lopez-Garcia on Jan. 21, 1924, in Santa Fe. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Joe was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters L.U. 412 for 65 years. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Rose A. Garcia and son Arthur J. Garcia. He is survived by his sons, Deacon Roger Garcia (Patty) and David Garcia (Juanita); grandchildren, Arthur, Angela, Eugene, Rose, Jessica, Manuel, William; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 307 N. Church St. in Bloomfield by Deacon Timo Lujan. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 307 N. Church St. in Bloomfield. Burial will take place at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St. in Santa Fe.
