1929-2020
Al Honeycutt of Los Chavez, NM, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 15, 2020. Al was born on June 15, 1929 in Tucumcari, NM. He served in the US Navy from 1948-1952, and was a disabled Korean War Combat Veteran. Al was a pipefitter by trade and a member of Local Union 412 from 1957 to present. Al was an ordained minister who left a legacy of faith and a passed on a love for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to his family.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Fred Honeycutt, and Virginia Reed Honeycutt. Al is survived by his wife, Grace; his former wife and mother of his children, Nettie; His three sons, Steve and wife Sharon, Mike and wife Barbara, and Ben and wife Laura; Step son, Steve; 8 grandchildren, Christa, Jessica, Joshua, Jacob, Luke, Paul, Rebbecca, and Thomas; and 11 great-grandchildren, Deanna, Ethan, Seleah, Helena, Izryal, Seth, Jude, Damien, Uriah, Posy, and Jaedyn. Al requested not to have a viewing. A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 27 at Santa Fe National Cemetery beginning at 10:30.
