Dale White Sr, 100, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018, at his home in Roswell, NM. There will be a Graveside Service on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at South Park Cemetery under the arrangements of Anderson Bethany Funeral Home and Crematory. Dale was born on September 3, 1917 and celebrated 100 years, on September 3, 2017. He worked as a farmer in the Dexter area in his younger years and retired as a plumber after 60 years with Local Union 412.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Osie Lee and Henry Alonzo White; his wife, Eudell; 2 daughters: Gale McKee and Myrna White; seven sisters and four brothers.  He is survived by two sisters: Margaret Garrett and husband, Bob, and Bobbie Gumm, and husband, Dynamite, three sons: Dale Jr and wife, Barbara, Larry and wife, Vera, Robert and wife, Wanda; five daughters: Evelyn Stanfield and husband, Charlie, Barbara Heine and husband, Fred, Lena and husband, Kelly, Carrie and husband, Brad, Zula and husband, Harold, and son in law, Lanny McKee. He had numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice for their care and support.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

H. Clyde Eanes, known as “Clyde” or “Papa” passed away on March 14, 2018, at the age of 73 after a brief stay at Sierra Vista Hospital in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 51 years, Tresha Eanes; son, James (Sharon) and daughter, Donella; 5 grandchildren: Andrea (Mae), Cameron, Danika, Zachary, and Jake; two great-grandchildren: Mayson and Aubrey.  He is also survived by his mother, Mae and siblings, Bonnie, Tommy, Clifton and Don.  Clyde is preceded in death by Leonard Montgomery and brother, Larry.

Although born in Texas, Clyde was a native New Mexican. He lived in Claunch & Roswell as a boy where he attended school. His love for the mountains and hunting lasted a lifetime, along with his preference of venison above any other delicacy except for green chili, of course.

Clyde enlisted in the United States Navy as a young man and served as a welder and pipe-fitter aboard the U.S.S. Bryce Canyon.  He and Tresha met while he was serving in the Navy in Long Beach, California and were soon married.

Following Clyde’s military service, he & Tresha lived in Arkansas and Oklahoma for a short time. However, they would call New Mexico home for the following 48 years together.  Clyde lived with his family in Roswell, Bernalillo, Moriarty, Ruidoso and finally Caballo, New Mexico.  His skills as a welder provided work for many years and all who knew him recognized Clyde as a gifted welder and artist.

A viewing will be held from 8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.  on Monday, March 19th, at the Kirikos Funeral Home Chapel with a graveside service following at Vista Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 2:00pm.

Memorial donations in memory of Clyde can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Michael Lee Garcia, age 61, a resident of Los Lunas, passed away early Tuesday morning, Oct. 17, 2017, at home with family.

Michael leaves behind his wife of 24 years, Janna Garcia; his children, Jesse and Mariah Garcia; his parents, Jesse C and Anna Mae Garcia; his sister, Jessica (Rudy) Herrera; his brothers Cody (Trixie) Garcia, Vincent Garcia, and Phillip (Donna) Garcia; father-in-law Paris Jordan; sister-in-law Jo (Dennis) Thwaits; brothers-in-law, James (Cathy) Jordan, Jack (Jena) Jordan, and Jon (Tracy) Jordan. Michael also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Michael was a journeyman plumber/pipefitter and a loud and proud member of the Local 412 Plumber and Pipefitters Union in Albuquerque, NM.

A private service will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Thursday, October 26, 2017, followed by a celebration of his life for family and friends at the Spectators Sports Pub and Grill, 5850 Eubank NE, Alb, NM from 1:30-5p.m.

Jose “Andy” Chavez, 91, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. Mr. Chavez was a former longtime resident of Los Alamos, where he and his wife resided for 30 years before moving back to Albuquerque in 1997. Andy was born on February 28, 1926 in Albuquerque, NM. He and his wife, Celia B. Chavez, raised five children and retired from Pan Am World services in 1991. He was a proud member of Local Union 412.

He is survived by his four sons, Jake R. Chavez and wife, Pat of Albuquerque, Joseph M. Chavez and wife, Sharon of Laughlin, NV, Patrick J. Chavez and fiancée, Nancy of Espanola, Robert D. Chavez and wife, Dorothy of Albuquerque; and one daughter, Florence M. Chavez of Albuquerque. Mr. Chavez is also survived by his 16 grandchildren, Lisa, Rachel, Kelsey, Shane, Davisa, Andrew, Joesph Jr., Rodney, Jennifer, Patrick Jr., Olivia, Dennis, Matthew, Robert, Justin, and Ashley. Mr. Chavez was also blessed with 23 great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Andrew, Aidan, Alia, Amira, Alena, Alexavier, Asher, Dominik, Brooklyn, Genisis, Nickolas, Kobe, Adreya, Haley, Nicholas, Emily, Antonio, Savannah, Addyson, Brody, Alexis, Paxton, and Mckenna. He is also survived by his last living sibling, sister, Dorothy Chaves, 97, of San Mateo, CA; as well as other numerous family members. He will be dearly missed by his loving family.

A Rosary will be recited Sunday evening, October 8, 2017, 6:00 p.m., at FRENCH – Wyoming. Friends and family may visit beginning at 5:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Ave. NE. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Patrick Chavez Jr., Robert Mesch Jr., Justin Mesch, Lorenzo Gutierrez, Rodney Chavez, and Nicholas Gutierrez.

On Wednesday, March 15, 2017, after 59 years, the loving and fun-filled life of Ernie Salazar quietly came to an end. Ernie patiently waited and pursued the love of his life Josie and throughout a beautiful 37 years of marriage they remained inseparable. Amongst a life of love and laughter together they raised two daughters, Tara, and Stacy. Ernie was a generous man both with his money and his time. Ernie devoted his life to his family, which included coaching his daughters in sports, barbecuing on the weekends, waking up early to cook breakfast for his wife, and traveling. Ernie has amassed an abundance of friends throughout his 59 years in which he has shared his love for the Dallas Cowboys and horse racing. Ernie was well known for his social nature and infectious laughter. He was his family’s rock and his friend’s life of the party. Ernie loved his immediate and extended family deeply and his caring and kindness for friends was heart felt. Not only was Ernie a loyal family man but also loyal to his employer Grant and Associates for 37 years as a Plumber’s Foreman. In his retirement, Ernie enjoyed the simple things in life by visiting his daughters, remodeling his house, and ultimately being the best husband for his wife. The family gives thanks to all who touched Ernie’s life, and thereby touched ours.

Ernie is preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Tircio and grandmother, Ignacita Lopez; his uncles, Isias and Jerry Lopez; and his wife’s father and mother, Jose and Sarita Leyba. He is survived by his wife, Josie; his daughters, Tara and Stacy; and his beloved dog Pampers; his parents, Andrellita and Herman Madrid; sisters, Connie (Juan) Madrid, and Laurie Vigil; his brothers, Herman (Erica) Madrid Jr. and John (Amanda) Madrid. He leaves behind his cherished aunts, Domi Ulibarri, Lorraine Abeyta, and Virginia Lopez; and his dearly loved nieces, nephews, cousins, the Leyba family, and countless friends.

A Rosary followed by a Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 24, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Wyoming. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Risen Savor Catholic Church, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE in Albuquerque, NM. Winford L. (W.L.) Walker, age 91, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Audrey L. of the family home; daughter, Marsha J. Kirby and husband, Jack of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Gary L. Walker and wife, Cindy of Phoenix, AZ; step-daughter, Sandra B. Byer and husband, Randy of Corrales, NM; step-son, Steve W. Smith of Corrales, NM. He leaves three loving grandchildren, William Byer and wife, Rene, Kathryn B. Ortega and husband, Sam, and Buffy M. Keahey and husband, Brad of Gilbert, AZ; and six great-grandchildren who lovingly called him “Papa” – Kyle, Ryan Byer, Ariel, Eric and Ashlea Ortega, and Zac Keahey; and great-great-granddaughter, Charlea Ortega.

Born November 27, 1925 at Talmo, GA, to Irwin A. and Doris Walker, Winford was the 11th of 12 children and he outlived them all. W.L. was a proud veteran of WW II serving with the U.S. Navy and stationed at Perth, Australia for 16 months and then he spent eight months in Cape, Australia. A member of UA Local 412 Plumber’s Union for 70+ years, he retired in 1987 after 42 years working in construction and repair plumbing. He enjoyed bowling for a number of years and held a life membership with the Good Sam’s Campers club spending many years camping with families and friends of the IOF Campers and Desert Drifters Campers.

Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2017, 10:00 a.m., at FRENCH – Wyoming. Ennichement will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to a veterans organization of their choice.
